Swapping on and across Monad

Monad is a Layer 1 that keeps full EVM compatibility while re-architecting how transactions are processed, notably by executing them in parallel rather than strictly one after another. The goal is much higher throughput without asking developers to leave the EVM behind.

For a user, that means Ethereum-style tokens, addresses, and tooling, on a chain built for capacity. Its native asset MON pays for gas, so you need a little to transact on Monad.

Multiswap compares routes from the engines that quote Monad rather than running its own liquidity. For a Monad swap it queries same-chain and cross-chain engines in parallel and ranks the quotes by net output after estimated gas.

As a newer high-performance chain, Monad's liquidity is still growing, so comparing across engines matters, because the best available route can differ meaningfully between pairs while the ecosystem matures.

Gas on Monad is paid in MON, so keep a small MON balance for transactions once you're on the network. Swapping into a little MON as you move onto the chain avoids being stranded with tokens you can't use because you have no gas.

Monad's EVM addresses look like any other EVM address, which makes network confirmation the important check. Match the destination network before you send, since a confirmed transfer to the wrong chain is hard to recover.
